project details
I was tasked with designing an entirely new business website for 5280 magazine that would serve as a hub for our clients, sponsors, and employees. the goal was to offload the business content from the editorial site and redirect traffic to a site where we could be clear and intentional with our messaging to our biz partners versus our subscribers.

art direction
drawing inspiration from media organizations like Conde Nast and Vogue, I opted to give this site an identity that was business-forward and professional while still alluding to the 5280’s brand. with an incredible resource in our on-staff photo team and content writers, I worked with them directly to choose photos and write content (with the help and prompting of chatGPT!) that aligned with my vision. after an initial process of wireframes and prototypes based on user interaction tests I did in-house, I then did the development of the site through wordpress.

mobile-first
the days of mobile as an afterthought are long over. my design process starts with wireframes for mobile to ensure a user-friendly experience in the context that most users prefer.
